Unhappy Shuttle AK11 Booting

I'm trying to build a new sys with the following:
Shuttle AK11 MoBo
Athlon 1.33 CPU
Kingston 256mb SDRAM
Either a PCI or AGP nVidia 32mb TNT2 M64 graphics card (i have both availible)

I put it all together, and plug it in, turn it on, and nothing appears on the screen. I hear a single beep from the PC speaker. I've tried both video cards, and two different monitors, but nothing works. Everything is getting power alright, but nothing will make the monitor show anything!!

I have no idea what to do now, what to test, yadda yadda yadda. Can somebody give me a few pointers?

I had the same problem with a shuttle ak11..it turned out that the AGP card wasnt quite all the way seated...it was in far enough to look all the way in..i just pushed on it pretty hard and turned my machine on and it worked..

I am also running an AK11. Does your vid card have that little clip at the end shaped like an L? Because the AK11's AGP slot has a black clip around it and it can lock it in, then you' ll know if its. I broke that stupid thing off installing my new vid card, but it still works, just make sure its seated properly.

The first time I booted up with this mobo, it did not work because I fried my processor because I used too small of a hs&f (stupid TigerDirect said it can work up to 1GHZ Athlons, cosr me another $100) never order from them again

Found out it wasn't the video card! It had something to do with the PSU, so i picked up an Antec 300W from best buy (only $25! w00t!) and now it works. Too bad it's not my comp to mess with, it has a 1.33 thunderbird in it and i'm not allowed to OC it... At least i convinced my mom (who's comp it now is) to let me have SETI on it !!

Here comes a few more WU's!!

well..i thought mine did as well..it may..but according to the book that came with it
"Support Socket 462 package CPU with 200/266 Mhz FSB.
AMD Athalon Processor:600~1200+Mhz.
AMD Duron 600~850+Mhz."

But my AK11 supports my 1Ghz Duron NO PROB.

man I hope I am not too late - all these posts late last year/early this year about the AK11

I am running AK11 and I have POST as much as 1680 - however booting and stability are a different story.

I hope you guys are still running yours, for I have a question.

Anyone every volt-mod the Ak11? I do not really want to start soldering until I get my AK31, is that the only to volt-mod?

I am running an Athlon 1.33 @ 1507 stable with 42.5ºC and 46ºloaded (42º stoned, j/k)

I want to push it higher (I'll refrain) but WinXP will either not boot (STOP error / IRQL error) or as soon as the Desktop comes up the system will shutdown immediately and cold boot.

Any idears?

oh yea ... and the way I look at it - according to the BIOS the AK11 should have the ability to support 14*166 = 2324 :-P~~~~

would probably take $300 of cooling and voltage equipment to achieve it.

I got mine working, just have to turn it on and off a few times before it starts. Not allowed to touch it anymore though, lol...
