E2160 vs E4300/4500

so, I'm upgrading this weekend and I'm stuck between getting one of the chips in the thread title.

what I want to know is:

do the 4000 series chips overclock as well as the 2000 series? I've seen plenty of people hitting 3.4GHz with a 2160

if not, does the extra cache make up for it?

basically is it worth spending an extra 30 quid on an E4500, if I'll only get 10-15% extra performance, I'll stick with the 2160!

any advice/opinions?

I have the E4300 oc to 2.88 very stable. I have had it to 3.0 but a little shaky with the cooling I guess. Anyway at 2.88, nothing slows it down really.
Very good BANG for the Buck.

I went e2160 to save a few bucks since it is a temporary processor until I can get a quad or nicer conroe. I gotta say I am very impressed so far. I ran it stock for about a week and have just bumped it up to a 30% OC. From what I have seen there is no advantage to the e4xxx series over the e2xxx with respect to OC capability. I haven't researched all of the vs cases, but off the cuff I haven't seen anything that justifies the 40-80% increase in price.

well I'm convinced, I'll go for the 2160, seems they OC that bit higher and the FSB wall problem seems common to both series so no advantage there.

thanks guys!
