I need to change the power supply on a laptop, has anyone ever done it here ??

I've changed the memory...etc on laptops but never a power supply, was looking for a guide on how to but couldn't find one.

My warranty from hp has past, so that's out of the question...

Any help would be appreciated ...

Thank you

Just so you know...laptops have external power supplies unless this is some custom made computer. There is a "power brick" that goes from the wall to the brick (power supply) and into the computer.

Friend went to Circuit city, and they let him know that it was the power supply, i haven't looked at the laptop myself.

It is not the power brick. The guy at circuit city tried a different power brick and it was doing the same thing.

Now it must be something within the laptop... any idea on what it could be.

Even when laptop is plugged into the wall, it is not turning on.

Thanks.

tried a different battery, tried a different power brick. Took battery out and tried it just with the power brick. Same thing.

:(
