If I put 3 500GB drives into a 550GB RAID-0 partition, can I still access the other space those drives have without making an additional RAID partition? Can I just take the ~250GB of remaining space from each drive and just format it for storage?

3 500GB 7200.11
ICH9R chipset
Windows Vista 64 (not formatted to the RAID array but to a separate drive)

No, I don't think that's what I'm looking for. I don't care if the extra space is 3 different partitions or not, I just need the space. I'm pretty sure I could just make it another RAID array but was also wondering if I could make it non-raid. By the way, nothing in Vista recognizes that left over space from the drives. So I'm guessing the only way to get it would be to make another RAID partition.
