For a 512, that's not bad.

looks like the price has dropped 10$ already, will have to keep an eye on it.

Can anyone comment on what improvment to expect on a p4 2.6 with a x850pro 1gig ram? I already have upgraded to a modern computer with an 8800gt, but this for my backup rig for lan gaming.

The x850pro renders ut3 completely unplayable, where as, a friends p4 2.8 with a gforce 7600 can play it just fine. Plus not even having shader 3.0 support on the x850 writes off half the games out there now. So how much improvement can i likely expect before the cpu bottlenecks the cards potential. I need to get another year out of this p4 before i dump it

thanks

You should be able to play ut3 fine with the 3850 and the p4. If you can overclock that 2.66 you'll get alot more life out of it.

thanks for the response. i was researching overclocking the 2.6 some time back, but i concluded that my ram is a little bit cheap and decided not to mess with it.

Wow, $165 is a good deal for a decent AGP card. That's basically the same price as the PCI-E versions. I wonder if that's a mistake? Good deal right now for anybody still on AGP.

i'm extremely surprised that there is still support for AGP... that only means there's still a demand which is quite astonishing.
