I havent really messed around with many PCI E cards.

What would be the best card i could get for around $160?

im building a pc right now, please leave your opinions.

Right now I would go with the 3850 512mb version, In the next week or so Nvidia is releasing the 96gt, Not sure what the price point is going to be on that card though.

I have to agree with the 3850.

Ati has some good offers for budget builds these days. Now all they have to do is fix up their drivers (or at least fix up the bad hype about their drivers)

sorry but the 8800 gt does not whip the 3870 out of orbit...lol...its only 3-5 fps faster...but also take into consideration that the ati 3800 series has better graphix then the 8000 and 9000 series that nvidia is offering....imo i prefer better graphix
