Ball Mouse and Optical Mouse for gaming

Correct me if I'm wrong:

Optical Mouse is more precise.
Ball Mouse is smoother.

my optical is smooth. The optical may be smoother cause it has less weight.

Get an optical mouse and something like a RatPadz mousing surface and it gets slicker than snot on a doorknob.

Just got a logitech optical cordless and it's really excellent.

Can install software from across the room. ahah

It's smooth and reacts well in RTCW.

I think the newer models are much better than the old ones for refreshing.

I am planning to get a cordless optical mouse.

How long does the battery in the mouse last, thefly or anyone who have a cordless optical mouse?

And what brand of cordless optical mouse performs very smoothly even in fps games?

Optical is the best. There is no comparison. My stupid ball mouse sticks all the time...
