Hi guys,

after i read some post here, i finally decide to change my ram from G-Skill 8gb 800mhz to 4gb Crusical Billitix 1066 mhz. i need some help or advise how to overclock my Q6600 to 3.2 with Crusical billitix Ram

Here is my Gaming Build

CPU: Intel Q6600 @ 3.2 8x1600 (for now) at 1.2875V
CPU Cooler: AC Freezer Pro 7
MotherBoard: EVGA nForce 780i SLI 775 A1 Version
Momory: Crucial Billitix 1066mhz 4x1GB
VideoCard: EVGA 8800GT 512mb @ 700mhz
(lots ppl say why dont you get 8800GTS, i say just for worldofwarcraft? its good enougth)
HD: 500GB SATA 7200 Rmps
PSU: 700W OCZ Gamerextrame

Please give me some advise on CPU Voltage and ram Voltage and witch mode should i Run in those?? 1:1??

Thx alot guys!

Since all systems are different, we won't be able to tell you "set it at x and you will get y". Even if it is the same hardware, it will be different.

I would suggest starting at stock and working your way up slowly. If you hit a snag, try messing with voltages. Don't forget to monitor your memory speeds so that you know they can actually run that fast :)

I think your numbers are a bit off, 8x1600 would yield a 12ghz quad core.
He means 1600 quad pumped, so he is actually at 8x400 ;)

:welcome: to the forums both of you!!! :D:D

Check your ballistix heat spreaders and make sure they are not pulling away from the chips!! if thay are you need to loosen the metal clips at the top and reattach the spreaders!

You could always try 8x400 mem @ 5-5-5-15 ~ 1.45ish vcore . That would be my guess for 3.2

Yeah loosen up the timings on the RAM a bit. That usually helps achieve a higher clock speed. With a bit of time and tweaking, I'm sure you can get it up to 3.4GHz.

ok thx guys~ i really appriciate the advice

im running on 3.2 now with 1.375 Vcore and FSB at 1.3v
CPU-Memory Devider on 3:2
so my rams are running at 1066mhz for now
ram timming 5-5-5-15 24 2.2V

Core Temp showing around 47-50 idle 5x on load
(this is good temp?? should i lower my voltage?? or get a better cooler??)
i ran overnight already...seems no problem...but im kinda worry about my TEMP so can i lower my Voltage??
