Cash Back Credit Card

I know threads like this have popped up in the past, but % change and so do the cards. I'm looking for another Credit Card solely for cash back reasons, can anyone recommend the best one they have come across or one they have had the best experience with?

I've been looking online and at this point I care more about personal experience. I already have a dedicated Gas card (Awesome cash back) and a bank Credit Card (No cash back).

Oh and Visa, Mastercard, American Express, it doesn't matter to me.

Chase Freedom Visa is what I use. 1% on all transactions, 3% on top 1/3rd of your spending categories. Plus when you collect $200 in cash back you get a $50 bonus AND you get a $50 signing bonus for opening the card.

I have a discover that ges 5% cash back on things that change every few months. From Gas and retaurants to oil changes and what not. 2% on all other things. Though I prefer points to cash back.

Nice, that was one of the cards I was looking at among some mastercards. One of my friends has a similar chase card and likes it a lot. The point cards are nice but I'd rather not get another similar card like I have with my (SA Gas Card = Points)

Just keep in mind that many times gimmiks like cash back and points will be on cards with higher interest. (even just a 0.5% difference in what you pay on interest is HUGE!)

1. First get the lowest possible interest on your credit card.
2. Then see what kind of BS gimmiks they can attach to it

QFT

Use a credit card as a tool, don't let it sink you. Don't carry a balance and it wouldn't matter if the rate was 300%.

Also if you are college student look at the Citi MTVu card, thats the best one I have. 5% at restaurants, movies, bookstores, amazing card. All in the form of citi's thank you points which isnt exactly cash but they have some good redeeming options.

i have this one but i might be grandfathered in on old terms. i've had it for a few years. i think i still get 5% on groceries, drugstores, and gas. there's a $300/yr max though. and yeah, don't carry a balance and you'll be .
