It is a little warm. I run 4.0 24/7 @ 52 while folding.

Will it blow up really cool like? No.

Should I back it down some? I'd hate for a 1000 buck cpu not to last 3 or 4 years. heh

Thanks fellows for the great comments.

What fans do you have on the heatsink? Does it feel cool or warm?

I've had mine up to 65c priming 4.2GHz, but have backed down to 4GHz for 24/7 OC.

It will be fine.

Remember Prime95 pushes your temps far higher than most games and applications. F@H may give it a run for its money, but that's about it. If you are hitting 61c full load with Prime95 I doubt you'll see much over 55-57c loaded from other programs.

Either way, you're safe.

Get some extreme cooling and show us some real numbers :P

Looking good, and as others have said, if that your max under prime, you'll be fine.
