How many LAN chips is enough?

I recently RMAed my mobo but since it was no longer available I got a refund. Now I am trying to decide whether I want to get the GA-EX38-DQ6 or the GA-EX38-DS4, but I noticed that the DQ6 has two LAN chips vs only one. Does anyone know what difference this makes?

It makes no difference unless you multihome, in other words hooking up to 2 separate networks at once. I do for router testing, but most users won't be doing what I do.
