Sorry for the newb question guys.

But is there any actual difference between the OC edition and a regular edition? For instance, 8800gts 512mb vs. a 8800gts OC 512mbg? Would both cards have the same maximum overclock potential? Or would an OC card likely have the highest ceiling clocks?

Just wanting to know if it's worth the extra cost. Share your wisdom ;) Thanks!

Normally no difference, Sometimes the O.C.ed editions may have better cooling on them, However for the most part they are all reference boards, They have just O.C.ed the card in the bios, In the end both a normal and O.C.ed edition card will still have the same ceiling if you overclock either one of them yourself.

As I suspected. Thank you

from my experence some times the over clocked versions have had their voltage upped but that happens once in a blue moon.
