Video converter to WMV/VC1

Any suggestions for a video converter that will convert avi/mpeg2/mkv to WMV/VC1 formats?

I use and recommend the TMPGEnc video products they will convert, compress edit virtually all formats, also Cucusoft Ultimate DVD + Video Converter Suite is very easy to use and does a great job. The Xilsoft products as mentioned by nellie02 work pretty well also. If you want something free media coder will do the job. There are so many programs that will do the job sometimes you just have to try a few and decide what works best for you.
