help with setting -forceasm flag

So, I've meant to set the -forceasm flag [cuz everybody says to] and now that I saw in another thread that it basically doubles the work time without it, I actually am motivated to get it set. However, when I make a shortcut to fah.exe, right click, properties, and edit the target box, I get this error when I hit apply:

Code:
The name 'C:\Program' specified in the Target box is not vaild. Make sure the path and file name are correct.
It seems that it doesn't like the space between "Program" and "Files," although the directory is named with a space in it. I really really really don't want to have to open a cmd every time I start F@H, hope there is a simple workaround for this

This is what is in my startup properties in the target box.
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Folding@Home Windows SMP Client V1.01\fah.exe" -forceasm -verbosity 9

The target has to be in "s and the flags follow outside the last ".
eg, as above:
"c:\Program Files\FAH\fah6-win-x86-console.exe" -forceasm -verbosity 9

It should be noted, the -forceasm flag has no effect on the SMP client except to stop the client from displaying the standard loops message. The SMP client defaults to optimizations always on if available.

ok then I have another question...

I'm running 2 instances of F@h as services in Vista. How do I set the flags on this setup? Do I need to set any particular flags?

system specs
Vista home premium 32 bit
Vaio lappy with C2D 7100 proc(1.8 GHz), 2G RAM and slow ash 5400 harddisk. Geforce 8400m gt graphics 128meg dedicated.

How to set flags on a service install:
http://fahwiki.net/index.php/How_do_...ervice_mode%3F

(there appears to be a way to do this in the services manager, but that's something I haven't personally tested yet.)

Vijay still recommends using the -forceasm flag for the smp client, according to his last post that I read on the matter, in the FAH forum. What was happening was the client wasn't always starting with the highly optimized loops enabled.

I've been a fan of the forceasm flag, ever since I had "standard loops" pop up on me, long ago!

Of course, you're welcome, Deadbot1.

Now usually when you hear someone say "you need to add some more protein to your diet", they're speaking in a relative sense.

In your avatar's case, I think we can say that in an absolute sense!
