but seriously... aren't they all the same...

Looks like they will work well though... but how much stuff on tv does work well?

Foodsaver is better.

But you should be wary of any asseenontv stuff. A lot of these things are single-purpose and you seldom use it.

Think of it as an investment. How much food must not be wasted until you break even on the purchase price of the product?

Price is not bad, but I personally rather just have some Rubbermaids. Mainly because storage wise those won't be much smaller since they are about the same size as a Rubbermaid lid, and secondly to save space I usually fill the Rubbermaids to the rim with food, with the Smart Lidz products you cannot do that as you have to push down on the lid to seal it and thus would crush food.

And I feel like this will only work on smooth-edged bowls and whatnot, you'd need a solid fit to form a proper seal. And the stretchy-plastic stuff that forms the seal may very well fall apart in time (could harden up, over-stretch, etc).

I agree that some tupperware type bowls would be a better idea, they'll last for years.

my mother has had Tupperware(the brand, no generic plastic crap) bowls since before I was born and they still exceed our needs. Lids all still seal and the bowls are still in good shape, even after years of abuse. The cheap ones lasted about a month when we got a whole set.

I have seen that guy on infomercials for stuff that never works, and that produce is no different. Junk.

My Betty Crocker bowls or those Smart Lidz?

My mom still has some margarine tubs from 5 years ago.

Yea they last a good while. Keeping the butter tub is crucial.
