There are a few trailers up on Youtube of this movie -- the first collaboration between Jet Li and Jackie Chan.

I have to say, I'm extremely disappointed in the likely fact that this movie is going to be a huge dud. Almost anything that requires Jet Li or Jackie Chan to speak English is a huge dud. Of course, the plot seems silly as well: Teenager time travels back to China with mysterious weapon. He is aided by kung-fu Master's who all speak English with bad accents (of course). They teach him kung fu (of course). And so on.

Why oh why couldn't they produce another Hero or Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon? Why oh why did Hollywood have to be greedy and ruin a potentially epic film by westernizing it? Jeez.

You really didn't need to post that leonard....

I've never taken well to this genre of film, I hate mostly the lip synced versions where the english is voiced over, It confuses me so much :P

I've never like serious films but I dont mind comedy type things e.g rush hour, shanghai knights.

Just as long as they quit sticking Jackie Chan with a black guy, then make the movie nothing more than a bunch of Black, and Asian jokes...i'm happy.

And Jet Li isn't so bad. Hell, one of my favorite movies is "One". Then again, i love the movie for its concept.

the recent movies by Jet Li where its not in English...seems boring to me. The story is even more boring than the standard american martial arts movies.

oh well. just my opinion.

The amusing thing about Jacki Chan and Jet Li films is the absolutely horrid films vs the half decent films starring Jet Li and Jacki Chan is about 90% horrid, 10% decent.

I can't imagine what a collaboration will look like.

North American, I agree (though Kiss of the Dragon was not too bad). How many films have you seen of the two meant for Asian distribution?

Alas, None. I'm not much of a moviegoer. Or a movie-watcher. Or anything much about Movies. Really the only times I watch movies is when someone else sticks it in the drive.

Unfortunately, I've never had people with extraordinarily good taste in movies around me.

Have you tried Hero? It may not have a Shakespearean plot, but it has undoubtedly the most beautiful cinematography I have seen in a movie, not to mention the best fight scene ever (between Jet Li and Donnie Yen).

My roommate was getting pretty worked up about that as well.

I also agree - boooo for sticking in a lame plot.

I'm VERY excited about this movie. Jackie Chan's last film that was of this genre, the Myth, was nothing short of his greatest work ever. I've also like Li's last few films as well so I expect the combination of the two to be EPIC! This is the American Equivalent to a movie that has both Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

I grew up watching both Jet Li and Jackie Chan movies, most of them translated into Spanish, so imagine that! HAHAA I hate it when the movies are made with a Westernized point of view because they're never as good.

Seen many of the again films they had (Mostly seem like old films) and personally not a huge fan of them, and really disliked Crouching Tiger. So IMO they really can't do any worse so depending on my mood I will probably go see it.
