Assassin's Creed Discussion

Hey guys i decided to create this thread to discuss Assassin's Creed for PC and Consoles. For anyone that is playing the console version, how do you guys rate the game? What are the pros and Cons and so forth? I'm just curious to learn more about it from the user's perspective. I'm playing the PC version right now and I'm loving it immensely. Heres another little sceenie i took while playing:

I think the graphics are outstanding, and the fighting is kinda fun.

Gameplay wise, it gets REALLY boring REALLY fast. I'm sick of the go here, do this 80 times, then you get to kill 1 dude gameplay.

They sacrificed too much in making it open ended, it really has no point or path upon which it guides you, which is good when the environment is a canvas for your own creativity, but essentially you are locked into the same actions.

I admit I played it on console but still its pretty much the same game.

The game is very repetative, this means some people will like the game some won't. If you just want to ge tthe missions done and get through the game you will find it boring as all hell. If your like me and love just running around and doing cool stuff, than you may find the game very entertaining.

How does it play with a keyboard and mouse?

I pretty much agree with the consenus... Amazing graphics, great interface and response. However, after the second or third mission you realize EVERY mission is basically the same... Pickpocket guy for info, eavesdrop on a conversation, then sneak up behind the hit and take him out. It gets old... I'm just glad you do not have to ride your horse through the countryside every time you leave a city, else I would have stopped playing quick. I was very disappointed by the end as well. I know Ubisoft has plans on making 2 more games, but I feel they left the ending WAY too open. It was totally anticlimatic, and just left me sitting there thinking... "that was it?" Although once AC2 is released, I'm sure I will forget about all that.

I wouldnt say the ending was anticlimatic...more like the ending was the climax, and then since the ending was the climax there was no resolution to the story. I am interested to see where they go with the following games as due to thier interface the games could really be set in any time period up to the modern day and still fit within thier story line.

Great graphics. It does get a bit repetetive though. I'm only on the third set of missions and I'm already getting bored. I'm not even sure that I'm 1/2 way through the game yet. Think I may have to shelf it for a little bit and pick it back up later.

There's fun stuff to do, like running those chicks carrying the pots over with your horse near Jerusalem, or tackling people carrying stuff. The 360 version has some fun achievements to do (jumping through merchant stands was fun), but it does tend to get old after a little while.

Tried it out the other day for PC....

Graphics looked good, ran well... but yes... it got boring real quick. Kept playing to see if it got any better and it didn't.

This reminds me of other games that were leaked early and played by thieves. They got a bad rap based on speculation that it would be the final version, and sales tanked thanks to those early 'reviewers' ... This thread really should be wiped..

Lol, I hate these kinds of games simply because I never finish them (Played Morrowind for 3 months straight, don't think Ive gotten past the second or third storyline mission)

So what happened? The OP pirated it? $10 says this thread is used at the court hearing.

What, was the last thread that got deleted not enough of a warning? You had to go and start another one for a game that is not released on PC yet?

I get home in an hour, but luckily I keep my banhammer with me at all times. See you in three days.
