Problem with playback software

I have Nero Showtime with the blu-ray/HD-DVD plug-in. And my hd-dvd discs played fine. Bought the LG combodrive with cyberlinks software. It did a few updates and now when I put in either format, it starts off fine for about 3 second then it video slows to a crawl. Tried using the showtime program again and my hd dvds wont play right now either. Just installed the cyberlink software last night, Used the advisor and says something about my video card may have an issue. It's a 3870 so it should be handling the decoding fine. Any suggestions or anyone else have a similiar problem. Its on my HTPC in my sig..
