8800gt help! Cant instal driver

Just bought 8800gt xfx alphadog edition.. Im using windows 64

while booting up the windows took the card automatically very nice. But i thought the given driver will be better so i uninstalled the windows given driver and after restart it shows me only standard vga adapter in the device manager.. Not 8800gt.. And i cannot roll back driver either. If i want to install driver from cd it says me to go to xfxforce.Com to download latest driver but when i try to install from with in the disk it says no compitable driver found.. (ya xp 64 driver is given in the cd) what did i do wrong? What to do now ? Please dont wanna reinstall my windows now.. Any other way? Any hardware problem ?

Wow, thats kind of unheard of for me. I'm using xp 64 and had no such issues and I'm running 2 of them in SLi.

ok reinstalling windows worked for me now

Always get your drivers from nVidia.
