Ok so I started a thread last week regarding needing a new receiver.
I have been fighting Comcast (see my thread here about Comcast needs to be destroyed) at the same time so I have not had any internet.
I placed an order for the 7.1 Refurbished receiver from Shop Onkyo today (189.99 IIRC).
I screwed up and hit enter before I had fully entered the expiration date etc.
Within 20 minutes I had received an email after my confirmation email stating:
Dear Sir/Madam;
Thank you for your recent order with us, however in our recent attempt to
process your order your credit card has expired. If there is another form
of payment that you wish to use please contact our Order Department to
avoid any further delays with your order.
Thank you,
Order Department

Almost immediately followed up by a phone call from a very pleasant lady who stated who she was, where she was from and why she was calling. She was very helpful and asked if I still wanted to use that card but give the correct expiration etc.
Big thumbs up to Onkyo for doing what very few vendors do, and give a call to a potential customer to try to complete a sale.
