Im trying to set up a raid 1 on an existing install. The board is an Asus P5VD2-VM SE. VIA chipset. The raid is handled by the 8237s southbridge. I cloned acouple drives as test pigs. If i try to create the mirrored raid from within the raid utility, it wipes my drives if i dont select to copy the source to the mirror. If i select to copy source to the mirror, it gives me an error, and wont finish. I know the Intel chipset based P5 series allows it to be done from with in Windows, but i cant find anything that allows this with the Via chipset boards.

Anyone accomplished this, and how?

The computer is an in service computer for a doctors office, and it would help greatly if this can be done without re-loading from scratch.

Thanks in advance.
