My Abit IS7-E has served me well but it's getting a little long in the tooth. Can anyone recommend a good motherboard for a new build? I haven't looked at hardware much in a couple of years.

I'm looking for 2 SATA ports, firewire, Onboard LAN, onboard sound/video not necessary. I know this probably describes most boards available which is why I'm not getting much further in my search.

I'm going to go read about SLI because I have no idea what that is.

Any recommendations appreciated and I've had Abit and Asus boards I've liked in the past.

Thanks!

I'd vote for the abit IP35 Pro if you decide to go crossfire instead of SLI. Great board, lots of features, excellent price right now @ the egg.

Thanks

Thanks for the responses. I may go with a Shuttle system so no mb choice. I did like the look of the IP35.
