Question Vista + Readyboost + USB Stick

We are using Vista in my computer class this term and I just ordered the media through my school (Business edition for $38 shipped). I want to use the Readyboost feature because my system has 2gb of RAM and I'd like to see the difference between running with a 2+ gig stick and without.

I've been searching through the forum and on Microsoft's website but I couldn't find anything conclusive about which sticks I can run and which ones I can't.

So, with all that said, could someone point me in the direction of a good (and inexpensive) USB stick that would work with Readyboost on Buy.com? The reason I say Buy.com is because it has the cheapest sticks I've been able to find so far.

Unless your hard drives are 4500 rpm, It's not worth it. With 2 GB of ram you will see zero performance increase.

Well if you go to the Newegg.com website and go to the usb section:

Computer Hardware > Flash Memory & Readers > USB Flash Drives

Then click on "Advanced Search," one of the search options is "Ready Boost"

Newegg has 45 Flash drives shown as Ready Boost compliant ranging in sizes of 1GB to 32GB.

Also I would read the below linked Wikipedia article on ReadyBoost. The article indicates that with system memory >= 1GB, ReadyBoost shows little improvement over not using ReadyBoost.

Cool, thanks for all the links guys. I guess I'll just go with the super cheap 2GB ones then.
