want a good sound card for laptop

Sony Viao vgn-nr220e is the laptop, any suggestions ?

Unfortunately I think you will be pretty limited unless you can deal with a USB soundcard (which consumes resources when used). Since your laptop has an Expresscard slot, there aren't many soundcards yet available (at least of which I am aware). Creative has an X-fi for Expresscard. It'll have good sound and all, I'm just on the boycott Creative bandwagon. but I'm not really aware of an alternative.
