What was your best memory of the game before it wnet bad with the first nerfing patches?

Mine was when I was in the tatooine desert and I was in a group that was looking for dark jedi and most of everyone in my group decided to leave after a long day of looking, So we all disburst and I was walking back to the tockey station and I heard a zing the sound of a light saber and I died in a heart beat.

So typed in the main channle hey guys I got killed by a dark jedi and in about 5 minutes there was at least 60 +people standing around me offering me wine for a buff and and the server kind of died because there was so many people in 1 area.

Ok your memories?

Hunting a Jedi on Dathomir. :) We had a group of I think 6 bounty hunters that all got one Jedi's mission (back when 250k was A LOT of money). I was with my RL best friend and some guys I just knew from the game. We all headed to Dath and went on a wild goose chase until we found the Jedi killing Rancor. We followed him through Nightsisters and Rancor for at least 15 minutes before we finally got him. Was a real fun time, I really miss(ed) those days, back when Corbantis was actually a full server and there was always somebody to have fun with. I think I got banned a few months later, too. I made a character on like Chilastra or something and named him after... the male reproductive organ (I was young :)). Joined back when the NGE hit and not everybody had quit yet. It was all downhill from there and inflation was rampant. Now 250k could barely buy you a set of crappy armor. It was real fun while it lasted, but when everybody quit and it was just too boring. I still miss all my friends on Corbantis, I'd love to check up on some of them.

I still remember all my firsts in SWG. The night it went live, I spent the entire time in Kaadara. It just felt awesome meeting people, everyone learning about the game. There was such a lack of guides for the game, that the best way to learn to play was to just jump into it and learn as you go.

I loved just exploring everything in the game at the beginning too. You could run outside Theed and never see 1 house. It really felt like no one had been there before. Maybe I just liked the new game feeling. :p

Hmm,

1. Unlocking my last cube
2. Watching almost naked women dancing in the cantina :)

I'm the opposite! I love exploring new games, but with my friends and people I met on the game. I love joining a game at launch, but there is so much more to do once the game gets popular and there's more people. I loved wandering outside of Theed just looking at all the shops and checking out the buildings people placed. I always imagined making a big complex of like 4 houses outside Theed all grouped together and finally did it right before I quit.

Oh, do you guys remember actors? They were out for a little while and you could get them at the hotel. Normally you couldn't place them inside NPC cities like Theed, but I learned how to one night on another server. Me and my friend went back on Corbantis and placed a whole bunch of actors in Theed named inappropriate and just stupid things. We had them shout out disses about a guild we used to be in and they got pretty upset. Eventually a CSR came, but we removed them quick enough to not get caught. At least we didn't get in trouble for it, anyway. :) The next patch: actors were removed from the game. LOL!:beer::beer: I guess you could say that my friend and I ruined it for everybody. Sorry!

Hrrm, lots of fond memories:

In no particular order

1) Being one of the first few to Unlock Jedi on my Server. The first tim eI lit up my training saber was a hoot.
2) Having to escort noobs in my guild to out Player city. This wa sbefore the shuttle ports were available for towns, and mounts had just came out. I'd have to ride out to the nearest shuttle port, and ex=scrot them back to town, so they didn't die on the way...
3) Making my first million credits.
4) Racking up XP in the kliknik temple on Yavin that was bugged (way early in the game)
5) killing the first BH who came after ym Jedi, that was a good feeling....

Seriously, does anyone still play that game?

Fond memories..

Building a metropolis.
Decorating my houses.
Power Mining.
Having the most powerful doc buffs on the server.
Spaceflight (when they FINALLY got around to adding it).

Not so fond...

Searching for skill tapes.

Its been years since I played it. I got very annoyed when they got rid of the cubes after i spent SO much time going through proffs to unlock my jedi slot. Stopped playing not to long after that patch.
