Been out of the game!

So it's been a few years since I cared about video cards but with new up coming games I need an upgrade.

1) What are your system specifications? Give us full specs:

CPU = AMD 64 2.5MHZ
Motherboard = nf4 UT Lan Party
PCI-E / AGP = PCI-E
RAM = 2GB
PSU = 480W Thermaltake
Current Video Card = 6600gt
etc.

2) What is your budget? 400USD
3) For how long are you planning to have this new card?Another 3-4 years
4) What will the new Video Card be used for?
--- a) Hard-Core Gaming - LOVE GAMING!
5) If Gaming, please tells us the games you're planning to play. Please list as many as you'd love to play. If possible, please put them in the following sections:
BF2
WoW
and some new games coming out.Would love to play in a mix a med/high settings or high settings if the budget card allows it

What resolution do you need that for?

Cpu might hold you back.

Anyways here are some choices; 8800gts g92, 8800gt, 9600gt, 9800gtx.
Performance wise 9800gtx>8800gts g92>8800gt>Hd3870 9600gt

9800gtx is like higher clocked version of 8800gts g92.

Definetly consider a 3850 card for about $130 ballpark, or a 9600 GT in the $165 ballpark area.

Anything close to your $400 budget is not going to be put to good use because of the rest of your system.

Most I'd say is maybe an 8800GT around $200 but I can see it being bottlenecked by 1GB ram and CPU in some games.
