Just slipstreamed SP1 into Vista with Vlite......

And it made it run a lot smoother. I remember reading that it was not going to be possible with SP1, but it worked, and haven't had a hiccup with the install yet. Here is where it can be found, the version that worked for me is 1.16 RC. Here is a guide for those new to Vlite.

Finished Installing Windows Vista SP1 ? Now Remove All The Junk Files

http://www.labnol.org/software/tutor...nk-files/2641/

Now I have 25GB of space left on my 50GB Vista x64 partition with a boatload of apps installed. I was down to only ~3GB left until I did the disk cleanup and this operation.

Now I need to slipstream the Intel matrix raid drivers in too.

I slipstreamed SP1 into my copy of Vista Ultimate x64, everything went smoothly as well. Vista boots up and shutdowns in half the time my original un-vLited installation did.

How long did the integration take?
I made a vLite image and slipstreaming SP1 took about an hour...nLite used to do it a minute or so.

I think you are in the right timeframe for the slipstream. I remember seeing something in the Vlite window saying it would take around 60-90 minutes. I am not sure what all is going on during the slipstream, but it seems there is a lot of changes to the OS being made. I have noticed that the install with SP1 slipstreamed is a little bit snappier.

It definitely took a while, like 40 minutes. Got the install size down to 1.3GB, so it had to have gone through all the cab files extracting/removing/compressing and the like.
