Well, Time has come for me to upgrade my PC now that AoC is coming out here in a few weeks.

I'll make this simple and just say, I dont know crap about OCing computers. I have never done it. And, Im lookin to OC the new CPU when I get it.

Im lookin to get:

Motherboard:
Intel DX48BT2 Motherboard - Intel X48, Socket 775, ATX, Audio, PCI Express 2.0, CrossFire Ready, Gigabit LAN, USB 2.0, Firewire, eSATA, RAID
Link - http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3720517&sku=I69-2164

Processor:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 / 2.66 GHz ( 1333 MHz )

Ram:
OCZ Dual Channel 2048MB PC10600 DDR3 1333MHz Memory (2 x 1024MB)
Link - http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3246375&sku=O261-9032
*Best bang for the buck I could find on Ram

So pretty much basically my question is.. What would be a good Cooling fan for this set up, I'd love to hit 3.0-3.6 ghz, Im looking at this little cooler system right now http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2353734

Seems to be pretty good, But then again, I dont know **** about any of this. So, I could really use your help.

I don't have any real world knowledge of any of those products so I won't comment on the specifically but welcome to the forums and you might have better luck if you try this in the cooling forum. It's mostly the same guys in each forum so you'll probably get the same answer it just helps keep the place more organized for others with similar questions.

I can't wait for AoC either :), you sure you wanna pick up that board? I'd probably pick up a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128336
for a bit cheaper

If you can afford the proc, thats great. But it's not really the best bang for the buck (because its so pricey). You will get the 3.0-3.6ghz range without a doubt though.

Do you have any experience lapping cpu Heatsinks? if so I'd pick up a Thermalright U-120 http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=23531&vpn=ULTRA-120-EXTREME&manufacture=THERMALRIGHT

If you don't wanna lap, I'd suggest the Arctic Freezer Pro 7:

Ive never Lapped anything before either, Im new to this whole concept. I keep hearing that the Arctic Freezer Pro 7 is good, Thinking I will go with that, And its WAY cheaper than the one I am lookin at. I just hope that it will keep my PC cool, Long as I can get 3.6ish stable, I'll be happy.

Any other products I should look at to keep my computer cool?

what kind of case are you going to be using? if you haven't bought one yet, make sure it uses 120mm (or bigger) fans only. They pump more cfm, and are quieter than 80mm fans. You'll need a cooler for you vid-card too, that is if you want to overclock. I hate how loud these damn stock vga-coolers are, so I actually modified a previous cpu heatsink and slapped it on my X1800 XT, but there are some great ready-to-go coolers out there. Accelero apparantly makes a mean heat sink, that cools your card and (in my eyes) more importantly; keeps your PC quiet

if you've got the money, and want to buy a good case you should look into the Antec 900, or some of Lian-Li's solutions. Both are great cases with very useful features.
