sup fellas. i've been playing around with my system lately and i just have a few issues.

i tested my pc on stock settings:

E4600 C2D @ 2.4GHz
8800GT @ 600/1500/900

my 3dmark06 score was 8650 out of the box. my fps in COD4 was around 52-75 depending on conditions. then i tested my current OC'd settings:

E4600 C2D @ 3.0GHz
8800GT @ 700/1750/975

all on stock cooling, btw. the cpu's highest temp was 66c after 2 hours of playing Crysis on High at 1280x1024. idle temps are around 39c (ambient temp is 44c wtf). the gpu's temps idle at 52c and load at about 65c, so i think that's fine too. my 3dmark06 score went up to 11960 as well.

what's wierd is that my fps in COD4 remains exactly the same, at 52-75 depending on conditions. shouldn't it be at least at a constant 75fps on max settings and 1280x1024? at least i've heard of people getting that on stock clocks. and is my 8800GT's score about average compared to others? i thought people were getting 12-13k's out of them. lol.

would that be due to the processor? my gpu gets around 5600-5800 while my cpu only gets 2600.

what are the rest of the conditions? are you playing with AA/AF on? if so then there is your answer not amount of cpu increase will remove the bottleneck from the gpu.

oh, didn't realize i had 4x AA and 4x AF being forced on by ntune, lol. thanks that solves a lot.
