AV8 problem (losing track of CMOS record, lag)
It turned out there was too little amperage on my 480W PSU to run the new system. I took the old unit, a 350W Codegen (it was reputable in 2003 or 2004), which has enough amperes but not too much wattage - 350W. It probably doesn't exceed 320-330W in reality.
The errors I've noticed so far:
1. system forgets CMOS settings and time - it says checksums are wrong and resets the time to 2006 as well
2. brother played today and said system lagged - if it had been connectivity problems, he would have been able to tell the difference, I think
3. monitor settings keep going wrong
I don't connect #2-3 with the mobo, but PSU might be the cause, so I'm including these as background info. Basically, I wonder whether the problem is PSU or something mobo-related, such as the battery or BIOS software.
