Intel SL7PM Processor

Hi All:A newbie here I recently purchased a Intel D865GBF mobo from ebay running a 478 pin P4 2.53ghz processor and decided to upgrade to a Intel SL7PM Processor which was also from ebay but when I installed SL7 ended up with blank screen. But cd- roms led's lit up and floppy also power and hard drive led's all working I am new to Intel products is this processor compatible with the above board! many thanks in advance guys.

Upgrade BIOS P13 or greater

You need board revision C28142-405 or later (because of the 1 MB cache).
