Is there ATI Raedon 9250 pro temperature monitor software out there somewhere?

Just curious if anyone knows of any good software program to monitor ATI Raedon 9250 pro temperature with? Is that even possible? Does this specific GFX card have a sensor in it? Thanks

I think it doesn't have a sensor :S... I believe the first cards to have one were the 9600xt's.

Regardless, you could try Atitool.

The 9250s came out after the 9600s. However some of the 9xxx series didn't come with them. My 9000 didn't have a sensor, nor did my 9200, 9250, and 9600 pro. My 9600xt had one and some 9600 pros did too. Most 9800s and 9700s had them, if not all. As for the 9550, that one is up in the air. The one i have at work didn't have one, but thats all i know.

But IIRC, the 9250's are not based on the R300 architecture, meaning they don't support DX9, I think they use something from the Radeon 8000 days.

I think the 9550 might or might not have a sensor in it. I've seen some which resemble a 9600se in specs (basically renamed), and some that are as a fast as a 9600xt.

The 9250, 9200, and 9100 were from the 8k series. The r200. I know my 9550 doesn't have one in it, even though its based on the 9600 core. Its just a matter of, if they put it in there. There are even some x600s and other xX00 series that didn't have sensors.

New compy

Well, its good riddance for the 9250 pro,lol, I looked everywhere and my GFX card apparently doesnt have a sensor, neither does my CPU for that fact, makes OCing difficult if you don't know how hot your stuff gets. I am ditching the Dimension 3000 and on Saturday getting a far superior compy, at least compared to the 3000

I've always found licking the core gives you a good idea of how hot it is.

Anyway I used to OC with 9250 and stuff a lot. Your decision to get a better comp is good I just bought an aerogate 3 online to monitor temps. I make it a point to use it anyway as most temp sensors are off.

Was my ex-video card before the one I have now, lasted almost 4 years with me and I can truly say there are no temp sensors in there, only thing you can get is Core and Memory clocks, it doesn't overclock too much to make any notifiable difference, my recommendation is to upgrade, even a motherboard Integrated Graphics are better, I mean that card doesn't even support DirectX 9.

This was my upgrade path

Celeron 2.5GHz
1GB ddr-333
radeon 9250

to

AMD X2 4000+
2GB ddr-800
Onboard nForce 7025 video <---- 5-10% better than 9250 + DirectX 9 support
PC Power & Cooling 470W PSU
