It is still my favorite benchmark for CPU and Memory after all these years.

Download it here
http://www.majorgeeks.com/downloadget.php?id=1036&file=15&evp=7d084e478e4a767a7c83176bc05f7d8c

Post like this please

**********************************************
CPU - 15930
Memory - 50162
HDD - 1529

E8400 @ 4050MHZ @ 450 x 9
PC6400 @ DDR2 900 @ 5-5-5-18
Western Digital SE2 7200RPM 16MB cache

***********************************************

Make sure use the stars, :p now you can say something else like the following:

e84004050mhzob0.jpg

P.S. This speed is not totally stable for me. It can run all my games fine, but will not pass Prime95 or Orthos. I am trying to burn in and make it improving.

Some extra finding.
By simply switching Athlon64 x2 4200+@ 2.2GHZ stock, to E8400 @ around 4GHZ, (everything else was the same)
In PCmark2002, CPU score more than doubled from 7200 to nearly 16000. Memory score almost 5x more from a little over 10000.
In 3dmark2001SE, score more than doubled from 23000~24000 to 50000+.
In 3dmark2006, score barely went up from 4900s to only 5600s. Around only 14% increase. (not so up-to-date Vcard, but fits my needs for now)
In Super PI 1MB test, score went from in the high 30s seconds to 11.7 seconds.
In my games,
1. Battlefield 2 - fps went from 60~80 to stable 100.(high settings in medium resolutions)
2. Counter-strike Source and Day of Defeat Source - fps went from as low as 40s to 90~200+. (high settings in fairly high resolutions)

lolz

Run it again and edit your old post with standard format please.

It will only take 3~5 minutes at most. :)

My guess would be your score is slightly higher than mine.

Would anyone please be so kind to run some tests on their PII and i7 processors?
It would be so nice to see how they do clock for clock against older processors.

The time spend on download, installation, run the test, and post it will not exceed total 10 minutes.

3.1ghz and 4Ghz.

Really wish i had my C2D at almost 5 run this test

A PII ?
I am not currently running one of those....

Quick google turned up these results: (for unknown PII laptop. @366mhz)

CPU: 970
Mem: 727
Disk: 160

I do have some results I ran today on a P3 system. My GA-60XET board
gave up the ghost last month, and I just got the backup board installed.

It has 512mb of some tricky PC150 sdram, a TI 4600 agp card
(Gainward Golden Sample) and half of some Maxtor 40gb drive.
(Fedora 8 has the other 1/2.) Benchmarks ran on the win98 partition.

(I still have 3 boxes than run win98,,,, wanna fight about it ?)

With P3S-1.4g Tualatin @stock speeds. Mem at 2-2-2-5/7 1:1 :

CPU: 4443
Mem: 2691
Disk: 950

With P3S-1.4g Tualatin @1500 (143fsb). Mem at 2-2-2-5/7 1:1 :

CPU: 4745
Mem: 2922
Disk: 972

Just got a nifty SuperMicro board for one of my P4 3.0 Prescott chips
It has nvidia 7950GT 512mb video, 2gb OCZ platinum PC3200 (dual channel, PAT, 2.5-3-2-5 timings) and 2 WD800JB drives running RAID-0 on a 3ware
card.

Here are numbers for it at various speeds:

@Default 3.0g 200fsb:

CPU: 6067
Mem: 10,562
Disk: 1959

@ 3.3g 222fsb:

CPU: 6826
Mem: 11,800
Disk: 2043

@ 3.49g 233fsb:

CPU: 7152
Mem: 12,470
Disk: 2326

That gives you a mystery P2, the fastest P3 you are likely to see, and a not
slow socket 478 HT P4 to compare. :santa:
