With single TB drives on the market and larger drives always on the horizon, could someone come up with a Petabyte sized raid array this year or next year?
Also I would like to see the prefix peta- be changed to pita- just for computer. When you have to wait for a full format of 1PB drive to be complete, you'd call it pita. When you have to wait for a full scan of AV and spyware program on a nearly full PB drive, you'd call it PITA. When you got to do a full defrag of a PB drive, you'll swear major PITA up and down.
So by making pita-stuffix useable on computer before PB sized drive or raid array comes around, you'd save the trouble of knowing the difference between peta and pita.
Yes just being silly 1,000 single TB drive or 500 2TB drives plus the power to drive them all would be rather expensive.
