When my miniDV camera is idle, I like to just set it somewhere and record long scenes for no reason. But 1 hour tape is a bit short on SP setting plus when I convert them to "high speed playback (1 frame per 2 seconds dropping most of the extra frames, then played at 30fps)", I get around, 1 minutes worth of "high speed video" from 1 tape.
So is there a software that can take live video from firewire, capture at specified frame rate (oh say 0.5 fps), compile them into video file att normal speed? I'd love to try for a full sunrise to sunset capture in one go, and with Summer solstice over a week away, 15 hours and 17 minutes of daylight into about 15 minutes of video.
