This is my completed CM690 water cooling build. Danger Den kit plus the massive copper block for the 9800GX2. All tubing 1/2 inch.

Radiator standoffs with #6 x 3 inch screws, and 1/4-inch polypropylene tubing stock.

How are the temps, seems like a lot of heat for a 120x2 rad. Clean install, looks a lot like mine.

Thanks for the compliments.

The reason for the build is that the summer temperatures were causing the 9800gx2 temps to exceed 90C with 100% fan speed.

It is my first project, tho reviewing many previous builds on this forum helped.

The CM690 is a mid-tower that is slightly deeper that fits the 11-inch long 9800gx2 with ease.

You can see space is at a premium, so not much room to do much else.

I have not run any benchies on it yet. Used Everest Ultimate for sensor temps. The E8500 was idling at about 32C and 49C. Not sure why one core is so much higher than the other.

The 9800gx2 temperature was at about 53C.

The fans on the radiator are scythe s-flex F (1600 rpm). I got those because the stock yate loons had no clearance for the #6 nuts. The noisiest fan in the system is the north bridge fan on the 790i mobo.

There is room to run the PSU cables behind the motherboard tray and keep them out of the mix of tubing. That hole next to the PSU will route them back there and you can just bring them around where you need it. There is also a slot at the top so you can run the 8pin MB power plug behind and over as well.

Congrats on finishing your first project. Looks good.

I'm not sure how accurate Everest is with temps. Could you run CoreTemp and check with it as well? If it reports a wide spread between the cores you might try remounting the waterblock.
 
My E8400 is like that. One core is stuck at 31 or something. When the other core catches up to that point, it reads accurately (I hope). It just won't register below a certain point. The E8XXX series has been notorious for stuck and bad sensors.

That's definitely a lot of heat for that radiator. Tell us what you temps are after some heavy gaming or running 3Dmark a couple of times back to back.

I use ATI tool and prime95 at the same time to see my watercooling's true ability. Run them for twenty minutes and see what happens. You'll never stress your system that much when gaming.
