I just installed Xigmateks HDT-1283 heatsink on my q9450 and i was wondering how it compared to others q9450's temps.

After 30 minutes of running prime95 on each core, i got:

51-53-49-49 (with everest)

41-43-39-39 (with realtemp)

Idle:

42-42-40-39 (Everest)

27-30-32-32 (Realtemp)

I have a Ultra 120 Extreme (using OCZ Ultra+ 5) and a low speed Scythe Kama (~400 RPM). My case airflow sucks and my fan just let out half of the magic smoke about 5 minutes ago (I can still smell it), and at idle Everest tells me 54-50-50-50, RealTemp tells me 49-49-49-53 (I assume Everest is reading them in reverse order). RealTemp shows delta as 56-56-56-52. I have one case that isn't plugged in right now, also.

Realtemp and water cooled with thermaltake Bigwater 745 which is quite good considering it only cost me £80 for the pump, radiators and copper waterblock for CPU.

Ok nice just making sure this cooler is doing a decent job. Thanks for you posts. I thought everests temperature readings were a little high. Realtemps are much more plausible with idle temps of 27-30-32-32 and an ambient temp of 20C opposed to everests 42-46-40-39 idle.
