hello,

Vista Home Basic installs fine with an fix for XVGA 780i mobo with 8GB Ram.
But in my 9800GTX only gets 4.0 Indexpoints from Vista (both powersupplies are pluged)
!! the gnd - cable is not pluged, because i don't no where and what for it is !!
I though i can get forget all the problems if i install SP1 for vista, but after installing it i always get an BlueScreen.
If i want to overclock my graphiccard with ntune, i also get a bluescreen, even befor i get in the menu.

Please help, or i will go crazy ^^

my Specs::
mobo: EVGA 780i A1
graphic: Zotac 9800 GTX AMP!
CPU: Pentium Q9450 2.666 @ 3.200 (OC is not the problem)
RAM: 4*2GB OCZ 800
HD: 4*500GB Seagate Raid 0

greets wowa

(sorry for my bad english ^^)

Underneath scores there is something called "update score" that might change your graphical point score.

SP1 and bluescreen, I don't know about that issue. Might be ntune casued or not.

updating the score is also of no use.
in games i also get crappy fps.
ntunes is not resposible for the update bluescreen, because i have installed vista a second time without installing anything on it and updated it.
Same issue.

---- EDIT ---

It's an 64bit Vista version, could this cause thes issues?

I forgot to put this in previous post.

Run system at stock settings, check temps, make sure memory is runing at required voltage, speed and timmings.

What GFX drivers are you using?

the memory i will check now
nvidia drive GeForce Release 175 Vista 64bit
boot at stock setting causes also an bluescreen

-------- EDIT ---------
ok, timing and voltage where wrong, damn nvidia norm ^^
i will later try to install vista again and update it.

i will post then the result.
great thanks already!

Sry for Multipost

the bios-memory worked well, now vista is running without problems
graphic-card will be next to be tested ^^

--- EDIT ---
graphic-card also works perfect now
now i'll test it with 4*500GB raid0 -> 2TB

another question, doesn't fit to the topic, but i think it's ok...
is an temperature of 70°C ok for the mcb.. i don't think so,
should i install the mobo-fan?

--- EDIT ---
with the fan mcb ahs 40°C, it's a bit noisy, but ok
now i have found the other problem.
nvidia RAID 0 with 4*500GB caused also an bluescreen.

my Solution so far:
for 9800GTX use 177 Beta drive
evga 780i needs this fix(in SP1 included): http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=929777
evga 780i it's saver to setup the memory manuel
nvidia Raid 0 4*500GB makes problem, don't have an solution, and i'm tired of it
