I have a question hopefully someone can answer. I currently have a 9800GX2 in the system, and System information is showing Adapter RAM at 512mb. I ordered from this company a 9800GX2 1GB version. So I'm just wondering if this is indeed the 1GB version because 512mb x2 GPU, or I recieved the wrong version of the card?

If I remember right, it's a 512x2 card, so that's right

When in SLI the cards memory is not doubled, It's halved.

the x2 part of the name means two cards or gpu's.

In this case, yes
To have an NVidia card with one gig on one chip you'd have to go to the next highest series; the GeForce GTX280 or 260..
