Hey all, I discovered a weird problem when attempting to dual boot XP -

The boot menu in vista is blank!

I don't know how this happened, and I've tried a few BCD commands but to no avail. Msconfig also displays a blank screen. :/

Anyone know a remedy to this one?

Can you get into windows at all? If so, check System Properties>Advanced Tab>Startup and Recovery Settings and look at the settings listed there, make sure its set to show both options.

Edit for those who might have this problem: Popped the vista cd in and chose repair install.

Thanks for the input!

I had a prior failed OS install though. Maybe that's it - although I don't really want to reformat at this point as I just have.

There are many partitioning programs available that will let you set up the dual boot you want, without reinstalling windoze.
