Question about power draw

well im wondering if i can still use my pelt with my enermax.
i just bought a 550w enermax, it supplys 24a on the +12 line and my pelt uses 6a on the +12 line
that leaves 18a, is that enough to power my computer?
Note: im going to be connecting 4 hard drives and all my current hardware to this thing, or does the computer run stuff off of the +5 line? (46a supplied there)

How far over stock could an overclocker clock, if an overclocker could clock over stock?

Back in the days of the Greeks and Romans whenever the people where confronted with a single or chain of Destructive events on the Epic scale they took it as a sign of the gods displeasure with how things are going then promptly deposed (killed) the leader of the time.

AHHH the good ol' days :D

I doubt you can max out a 550W. I am running much more(9 drives, 4 120mm fans.....) on a 350W. There is a bit of an overkill attitude on powersupplies.

hmmm that sounds like a bet hehe

but how much will the computer (look at sig.) use of the psu?
Note, add 2 western digital drives, 1 40gb 7200rpm, 1 20gb 7200rpm.
your probably right tho, i should have enough power inculding my pelt drawing off of it

Ok if you wanna know, it is:
Sparkle 350W

KT7a-RAID
Tbird@1.4 cooled by a FOP-32
3*512MB Corsair PC133
4*WD400BB (0+1 RAID) all in carriers with 2 fans each
WD200BB
Fujitsu 18GB 10K SCSI HD in bay with 3 fans
4*120mm Sunon fans
12" Blue neon tube
Prime 50X CDROM
Generic 32X CDROM
Floppy drive
Siluro GF2 GTS /w 64MB DDR
Phoebe TV Master
SB Live!
Adaptec 29160
Rockwell V.90 modem

I have also had another HD (WD205BA) and a SCSI burner (Yamaha 4x4x16x) in there, but not right now.
It has no problem powering all that on 350W. If someone wants to figure the power draw, go ahead. I say it will work fine.
