Is there any noticable performance difference in games? Supposedly the 8800gt SLI setup is faster, but only by a hair.

Of course this is a nv thread, so I'll stay mum

LOL i think that should read ATI fanboys are a lil coocoo... every time i make an apearance in the ati section its like ATI PWNZORS
You mean it's not just me?
I swear they have rabies or something in there..
That's only because 90% of your posts in the ATI forum have SOME sort of ATI bashing or "I love Nvidia" connotation to them. You outright said the 9800GTX+ destroys ALL ATI CARDS OF THE UNIVERSE before it was even released in the 4850 thread. Not to mention an OC'd 4850 STILL beats it.
OP: The GX2 should be a little faster, but you lose some headroom to the heat output. You can also save money since you don't need a SLi motherboard, so that could be quite a big plus.
That I did not know...I swear I heard it was limited by that >.>GX2 isn't limited by heat

Oh please. You guys just can't resist commenting Here, I'll answer the OP's question.
9800GX2 is significantly faster than 8800GT SLI. It's roughly on par with 8800GTS SLI, and much faster than ATI's top card, the 4870 and only costs $100 more. Best single card you can buy right now.
