Native ubuntu os, 2gb ddr2-, q9300, asus pk5, advance and big wu's ok. The same as usuall. I was hoping someone with a q6600 had a couple so I could compare to see if the smaller l2 was an issue

Lol hope and pray you don't I downloaded 2 days and 6 hours ago and still have over a day to go on both of them. Wonder if max ppd will be with just one instance of smd folding.
BTW stock setting on the q9300 and everything else.

One more thing core's aren't maxed out as much as 2605 were. System monitor shows from 70% to 90%.

I got one the other day. Took my PPD down from 1100 to 850. Still made the prefered deadline with less than a day to spare on my X2 in sig. I also noticed the core usage was lower than other smp WUs tend to be.

Edit: Funny thing, I referenced my signature but it didn't post since I was typing that post on a smart phone. Odd.

Yes, both. I also noticed even though the CPU usage was down, the system responsiveness went down. Like it took longer for my file manger to start and simple things like that.

p5101 produces about 915 ppd/GHz whereas p2605 produces about 1100 ppd/GHz. You really get hammered when running two p5101s.
