How do I choose RAM?

I need a RAM to fit a Intel P45 motherboard in a gaming computer. I have absolutely no idea how to pick a good one. Whats a good brand/type for an affortable price?

If you ask me, $70 is reasonable for 2X1GB rams. Good brands include ocz, g.skill, crucial, corsair, kingston (not all that bad), muskin (used to be good, not sure about now), patriot etc.

Do use the search.

what os will you be running and are you planning on ocing?if so what kind of fsb will you be targeting?

Right now I really like G.Skill. They really have a nice price to performance ratio going on, particularly in the 4GB sets.

the ddr2-1000 is probably the best for you and the cheapest
