Trying To Find Out If My USB Ports Are Stuffed

I've put this in here because the AMD 939 section very rarly gets any activity anyways I am trying to find out my USB ports on my motherboard are falling on it's last legs.

Why you ask because lately I have been having some serious trouble with Wireless USB Adapters I wanted to go wireless as my router is on a long 15mtr phone line and I think it's causing slow speeds for internet. Plus my PS3 is wireless and so is my brother's PC yet mine I can't get to use any wireless adapters.

I've installed over 4 different brands and they all lock up the system within 5mins sometimes even my 1GB pen drive when plugged in and I am doing something will suddenly lock up the system and reboot. I had 1GB RAM at the time now I'm back to 2GB I removed the 1GB stick and used the new RMA'd 1 installed an adapter nope lock-up/reboot.

The only 2 thing's left I can think may be causing it is my cheap non branded 500w PSU or it's XP SP3 the adapter on my bruv's PC works fine and he's on SP2.

So would you say it's my ports going or maybe my 1GB memory that I used while I was waiting for my other from RMA could be causing it.
