I can't get my patriot to run in my mobo @ dual channel.
I have 2 more gigs to install but I get corruption:bang head

I currently have 2gs installed in slots 1 & 3
I BSOD/reboot/ loop when I tried to do anything else.
Checked memory w /memtest86..........OK

Do I have to use the ram that's listed on the mobo guide?

Well, patriot is known to(this is documented by the way)run "best" with 680i and p35 Motherboards. Now, I loved my patriot, it was fantastic memory. I've owned 3 different sets, but I had a 680i mobo. I would not recommend this memory to anyone without one of the above chipsets. It might work, but it's kind of a crap shoot.

Not finicky mobo -- bad RAM.

Run MemTest86 longer, or try another diagnostic, like Gold Memory (ver. 5.xx AND ver. 6.xx).
