had some 1gb sticks of ddr2-800 they flamed out got some g-skills (2x2 gb sticks) ddr2-800 but went from q6600 to e8500 and this e8500 looks really promising (3.6GHz (379 x 9.5) w/ 1.2500v) it has a 1.225 vid and is already stable with nice low temps im just wondering to get past that 400fsb # will i need to go to the 1066 ddr2?

What 2x2 set? If it is the 800mhz 5-5-5 @ 1.8v, those do 1000 5-5-5 @ 2.1v ;)

Running 400x9.5 on the CPU would mean the memory would be running at stock speeds (400x2 = 800mhz) if left on a 1:1 divider. So no you wouldn't have to get better sticks. As Thideras said, alot of people have seen good OC"s out of that ram, meaning you should be able to bring your FSB up to 500mhz with just giving the ram a bit more voltage :)
