Here's a couple mods to get your 4870 flying, have fun and bench hard.

My soldering tips:

1) Use very small wire, this is stripped out of a mouse cord.
2) Always double check your mod points. I mistakenly soldered the ground onto a power pin, you can see it in this pic. Luckily the card is still working 100%.
3) DO NOT attempt any voltage mod without a digital multi-meter to check voltages/resistances. That includes pencil modding.
4) Practice. Spend time with some old /dead hardware and learn what it takes to make a good solder joint. Once you know how it's easy as pie.

Dunno Jeremry, from what I've seen they don't appear to like much past 1.45V...although it is a bit early to say for sure ;)

The mod's totally different on the 4850 Todd, big thread over @ XS about it.
 
Awesome!!

I just ordered my 4850 and then a 640gb hdd and a sata DVD burner... Paired with my Asus P5Q-PRO... I wonder how much I'll notice the difference from my BFG 7800GT lol :beer:
