GA-X48T-DQ6 - Dead or merely in coma?

Hi all,

been offered a motherboard as per topic for a couple of bucks, problem is it's defective;

all info I have is that the owner updated the bios, after which there's no screen. Don't know if there's any POST or whatsoever, guy seems not to be too familiar with it all hence the poor problem description. Don't know if he managed to turn off the pc or such during the update, or perhaps he simply flashed with a wrong bios.

Question is: can it be fixed/restored or is the board a goner?

Any advice/help appreciated!
Cheers

if its just a bad flash you should be able to revive it.either by hot flashing or replacing the bios chip.

Ask him if he tired clearing cmos on the board after flash.

Gigabyte has dual bios, if main fails to be flashed or dies backup should have kick in into action. That's what it said in the manual and I don't if works or not. Anyways the bios chips should soldiered to the board

try pulling the battery as well - reinsert after about ten mins.

if you don't see lights when you power on the board, it's dead..
