I was wondering, which would be better to get with my P35 motherboard, a Q6600 or wait for a Q9300.
I know that my motherboard will limit a 9300, but I also heard that the new 6600 batches are not very good clockers. Is this true. They will be sitting under water

Q6600 on P35, if it was a P45 board i would say the Q9300... with prices now i would get the Q9450 but for the about the $20 difference the Q9550 looks better.

on average what have you seen the new Q6600's doing. Is 3.5Ghz out of the question?

i have a recent quad, with a vid of 1.3. i can hit 3.6 with 1.45 volts prime stable, but I cant go above that on air because temps get up past 70c, but my high ambient temp of 80f doesnt help. On water I bet you could get 3.8.
